Little Judd aged five. I still use the same drumkit.

Long and building, heavy in mood but not in tone. Drums take the lead, with bass swelling beneath and violin circling overhead. Optimistic and devastating.
I had no idea where this would end up; the drums were recorded blind (with no other ideas in mind) months before I laid the other tracks. But sometimes blind works.

A rocking track in the tradition of my stoner rock godfathers; Kyuss, Corrosion of Conformity, Goatsnake, Bongzilla, Orange Goblin, Penance, Down, Sleep etc.
Heavy and relentless, my most 'driving' track ever.

Playing with timing and tone; 'math metal'. Bass rumbles. Just try counting along to the last minute and a half...

Rough and fucking metal. Inspired by early Isis. Sweet guitar tone courtesy of Alex's ancient Sunn amp!

Metal as! Based around a single riff/rhythm that shifts between 9/8 and 4/4. Hits you between the chest from start to finish – with a small rest in the melodic mid-section. Downtuned guitars and 5 string bass for heavy goodness.

Sounds on the edge of waking...
(And yes, I do live on a train line; they are constantly popping up in my morning dreams)

Progressive metal, heavy – but kind of melodic and sweet. I wrote this for the Fighting Locusts, and it was the last song we worked on. I thought it was worth doing myself. Chris helped out with the vocals. Save.

Rohan was so late, I wrote and recorded the drums and bass before he arrived.
Slow, building, layers, clean guitars. Music to fall asleep to.

Long, slow and fucking doomy. Patience and despair.
Rain, into sleep and doom and waking to trains.Guitars and bass tuned down to G#, drums as spaced as possible.

A hard one to classify, I've thrown it in the 'Post Metal' box. Patient, 5/4 minimalist drums with lead bass, distorted synth and a guitar that kind of wanders...

An old acoustic track, it's like something Pelican or Black Sabbath would put between two monster tracks...
